About
Photographer. Writer. Art Lover. Culture Seeker.
I’m Sharon Steinbach, a New York City–based, award-winning photographer whose work centers on Street Photography and the quiet, often overlooked moments of everyday life. I’m drawn to the human experience—urban interactions, cultural diversity, social spaces, candid portraits, and the subtle behaviors that reveal who we are and how we move through the world.
While Street Photography is my primary focus, I’m equally attentive to the visual language of place. Elements of nature, architecture, and cityscape appear throughout my work, reflecting an ongoing curiosity about both the natural and manmade environments that shape our lives.
Photography has been a constant thread in my life, rooted in early art education, and deepened through continued study and practice. Travel remains an important source of inspiration, offering new contexts for familiar themes: human stories, local culture, and street-level moments that speak to the character of a place.
My work has been juried and exhibited in galleries and online exhibitions and has received multiple awards, including international recognition. I am an active member of the UK-based Visual Artists Association and Professional Women Photographers, a New York–based organization supporting women in the photographic arts.
